Location: Yountville/Oakville
We are a small, family owned winery in the Yountville/Oakville area. Our family has been farming the Napa Valley since 1916. We have a commitment to sustainable farming, to the land, to our guests and to the future of Napa Valley. We are looking for someone to join our team, primarily in a Tasting Room/Hospitality role.
The Tasting Room/Hospitality associate will provide our guests a warm, gracious and memorable visit while subtly but effectively promoting wine sales and wine club membership. All of the tastings are seated and by appointment, you must be comfortable in small groups and one-on-one situations. We consider all visitors friends and all club members family.
As a small organization, you will wear many hats. The person we hire will be prepared to contribute to the ‘big picture’. This will include increasing tasting room traffic by marketing to referral sources, attendance at networking events, and pouring at consumer tasting events. This is primarily a weekend position, but the ideal candidate must be flexible to work when available.
Essential duties include (but are not limited to): Providing a welcoming atmosphere and unique tasting experience to all customers. Describe wines, vineyard practices, winemaking, and family history. Effectively suggest and sell wine to customers. Describe club member benefits and encourage all guests to join.
Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions. Keep the tasting room immaculately clean, orderly and inviting.
Keep marketing materials stocked and up to date.
Provide guests information and assist guests as local concierge.
Assist with hospitality special events and outside functions as needed. Participate in phone campaigns.
Experience with POS Systems.

Outstanding ability to build rapport. Warm, engaging, and tenacious without being pushy.
“No” is never the answer.
Flexible, friendly, outgoing.
Knowledgeable about wine and the Napa Valley.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. • Must be able to effectively stock wine; be able to utilize dolly, cart and other equipment to assist in moving heavy objects. Compensation
Hourly; approximately 14-18 hours per week. Rate based on experience.
After a probationary period, additional incentives may be implemented. |
