Spring Ahead, Inc. is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill a Sales/ Marketing Manager Position for a booming Finger Lakes Winery. The chosen individual will act as the company’s representative within the Northern Florida Territory with a regional focus in Orlando. This winery is a very hip, fun, and sales driven company.
This is a full time position that will be an amazing opportunity for the right individual. The ideal candidate will thrive on change, building and maintaining new relationships, and thinking outside the box. Because this is not the typical 9-5 job, the future representative must be a goal orientated self starter and exhibit a positive attitude with strong communication and customer service skills. It is necessary that our representative is creative, level headed, and proactive with a consistent “make it happen” attitude.
Position Responsibilities
Make sales calls to Off and On Premise accounts to create new placements, cultivate customer relations, and schedule consumer tastings (approximately 80% of the time will be at off premise accounts)
Execute consumer tastings to increase distribution and sales (approximately 80+% of the consumer tastings will be at off premise accounts)
Work with local distributor representatives to sell into on and off premise accounts
Conduct wait staff training seminars and install point of sale pieces as needed.
Manage the receipt, storage, and inventory of event materials
Compile reporting measure and digital pictures on a weekly/ monthly basis
Exhibit discipline and resourcefulness to meet/exceed assigned monthly quotas and placement objectives.
Work flexible hours which may include early morning, evenings, and/or weekends.
Position Requirements
College degree preferred but not required
3-5 years of sales, marketing, and/or promotional experience
Strong appreciation and enthusiasm for wine, and a desire to learn more
Knowledge of local on/off premise wine and spirits market, including laws & statutes
Demonstrated computer, communication, and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Must have home office with computer and internet access
Networking savvy (good working knowledge of social media)
Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state registration and insurance, and a clean driving record.
Must have clear criminal record and good credit history
Must be at least 21 years of age, a US Citizen, and able to lift 45 lbs comfortably
Self-motivated, goal oriented, responsible, and comfortable working autonomously
Ability to prioritize and juggle many tasks as well as work within prescribed timelines and deadlines.
